EduExcellence recognises that staff are crucial to the delivery of both our philosophy and our curriculum.
We make a concerted effort to appoint 'square pegs for square holes' and asks prospective staff to complete three psychometric assessments during the application process. This helps better understand how to effectively manage and support staff during their career at Eduexcellence - regardless if you are en educator, administrator or counsellor.
All staff have to pass an in-depth background checks that includes a Police Clearance Certificate (also known as a SAPS PCC) and checking the Sexual Offenders Register and Child Protection Register. In addition, teachers need to have a permanent or temporary registration with the South Africa Council of Educators (SACE) and our counsellors need to be registered with the Health Professionals Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
With a truly small class environment our educators and counsellors have the time to build relationships with their learners and provide the therapeutic educational assistance (TheraEd) that they need. EduExcellence provides both in-house training in our TheraEd approach and access to external training opportunities via the Independent Schools Association of South Africa ( ISASA).
